# Last Time
- Rescued Rose from Serdak!
- Brought her back to Clove’s cabin.
- The fungus on her was cleansed away by Mizzle.
- Briefed Rose.
- Mizzle performed a Ritual to find out about Squirrelkin past.
- Convinced Clove to share druidic secrets.
More plot fodder!
- The Elfs are aligned with another Arcana – the Phoenix!
- Luxana and Clove’s uncle have gone to investigate and find out why it is missing. And they are missing.
Rose is napping. Clove is chatting with the party.
## Level Up!
But first … let’s talk about _leveling up!_
Approaching L20, when we get to bump up a stat!
- Saraid - another subclass in Mutant \> Theriomorphosis \> bump up Defense!
- TBs - more Sharpshooting (Warning Shot) – up to lvl 9
- Mizzle - quick summoning!
# It Begins!
Clove has revealed things about the Druids, the Phoenix, etc.
Mizzle … Serdak built his lair in the Stream of Souls … and there are power substations, tied to the Stream … so create a Druidic Post Office.
Great Tree of Fletz … both neat of the Phoenix and the city itself.
Clove - might have an idea. Will it work? Saraid, you have a morphic ether.
Serdak - Without spores to bind him to the real world, he will sink back into the Stream of Souls, for eventual rebirth. (Elves, connection to the Phoenix, metaphysical stuff)
So … collect Serdak’s growth, and Saraid stuff … cut off Serdak from the spores? But not certain.
Growths in the forest … where he is strong?
When we defeat his body … is he ducking into the SoS to get a new body. So … block that access … maybe keep him on this side?
TBs - FP to “If we can block Serdak from retreating to the Stream after the battle, we can keep him from returning with a new body.”
Needs to cover a broader area (small clearing?). Major Potency. Ritual, DF13, MP80 … but could use a rare material … like Grandfather Oak!
… do ritual now to make GO’s bark a trap … so if Serdak is defeated in range of the bark, he gets caught.
… going to mushroom sites is a good place to lure out Serdak.
TBs support – and draw on admiration of Mizzle.
Saraid support – doing things for her, so admire his giving and generosity.
→ +5 on the roll!
Mizzle (after rerolls) → Crit! Opportunity!
… form a bond with Clove … and she takes the beads on her belt, tears them off …
… and drops the barrier around the cottage.
Mizzle drops his bond with Dwyer to build one with Clove.
_Miz when Clove does something Miz probably would have done anyway_
A massive crash, west of the cottage … can see something blotting out the sun.
Monster rises, with fungal growth – corpse of a long-dead dragon guardian.
Shaking in the body, lke in the Stream of Souls …
Swarm of demons!
Clove – “It’s Fairbrand!” (guardian of the forest before the druids took it from him)
Tell Clove to watch over Grove, we’ll fight – don’t stay in place like the Alamo, but venture forth boldly!
- Distant Fairbrand
- Demon Swarm
- Demon Swarm A
Approach Fairbrand … via Clock, or attack the head. (No melee;
Demon Swarms - resist to Physical, feeble soul, parasytic essense. )
… and we have our own demon! Zenit Eyes! (will provide Resist Dark to someone at random)
# Fight!
All get a FP.
## Round 1
- Zenit protects Mizzle
1. Distant Fairbrand - MP for Call of the Stream to both Demon Swarms - @ TBs and Saraid.
2. Mizzle studies Fairbrand.
3. DS swarms Mizzle. No damage fropm teh spell. DS immune to Dark.
4. TBs shoot with fire at DSs … hit, but they resist it.
5. DF - Torrent of Power - Mizzle wards off.
6. Saraid - Theriomorphosis + Might, Defense
1, DS - Soul Siphon the TBs ..
## Round 2
- ZE protects Saraid
1. FB - Distant Roar on Mizzle. HIts!
2. Mizzle - Study DS …
3. DS - TBs - ouch!
4. Saraid - hmm, DS only vuln to Air and Light. Prayer Wraps … FP optimistic doogooder … both in Crisis!
5. FB - Torrent of Power - S and TB help, and Mizzle averts!
6. TBs … Swap weapons for
## Round 3
- ZE protects Saraid
1. DF does Distant Roar at TBs. Crossfire! -20MP, no HP damage taken.
2. Mizzle - Acorn Fairy heals Mizzle and TBs.
3. DF Torrent of Power. DL 13. S and TBs help!
4. TBs – Air shot, and Warning Shot … and take down the rest of his MPs!! Now in melee range … and the conflict is over! Affinitinties might change.
## Round 4
1. Mizzle - Heal Saraid
2. Saraid - Cherry on Top - MPs back , up willpower, Dark damage.
3. TBs - quaff an elixir to get MP back.
## Round 5
Up close and personal Fairbrand …
… NEXT TIME!

The thing about Pilot is that it’s so good that I’m actually free to start advancing Arcanist again! This is good because
