OOC: this is a yes to the move question

Jason seems taken aback by his vehemence for a moment, as if he were the only one with permission to get intense. Then he gets a huge grin on his face which Leo probably hasn’t seen before, either. “Ha! Never retreat ! Never surrender!” He raises a right hand for a high-five.

_I can’t hold a grudge forever, I guess.

Leo returns the high-five with only the slightest hesitation.
Yes I can. But, I can use that fire. Trying to be better than Jason Quill is still better than I was before. And it’ll save his life. A lot of lives. Totally worth it.

You’re damn right it is.

It was a desperation move, Jason thinks to himself. Especially after he got all pissy the last time. But I was _desperate, and I needed help from someone … and maybe, just maybe, it’s paid off. For me … for him …and for the team.
_And … scene?
OOC: So I think that means Link now gets Influence over me (I don’t think he had it before), and I’ll mark a Potential from it (next time I’m in there). Any game effects for Leo?

Link actually has Influence over every team member, so I get to shift your labels instead. Superior down (I see a lot of “I’m not the smart one here” narration from Jason), Mundane up (“sorry, that was my father talking” and similar attempts to be personable).
As far as I can tell there’s no benefit to Leo. He hasn’t shared a weakness so much as listened to one, and this doesn’t feel like a triumphant celebration. So it’s all good.

OOC: Cool. Let Jason know if you need any help from him.
No immediate game benefit to Leo, but hopefully some entre into furthering his character arc.
“Attempts to be personable.” Kid was raised in a weird science adventure hot-house, with an adoptive brother from a completely different culture, and facing weird and unnatural violent death on a regular basis. “It’s amazing I’m still sane.”

Yep, we are good. What Leo needs will come soon

And, of course, the video …
Caveats, first. Bill suggested to me that the abridged version, esp. with the computer-generated voices, removes a lot of the drama and interesting twists from the above, and I fully agree with him: the written dialog is much more complete, and insightful to the characters, than this animation is or could be. Like so many adaptations (and by better adapters than I with better tools than Plotagon), the book is better than the movie.
But since I had already generated it (and I’ve subsequently adjusted the voice settings so that they are a bit clearer to distinguish, Bill), I’ll go ahead and post it. I think it has an element of fun, and can add to (not substitute for) what is written above.
