MASKS #16 - IN THE CLUTCHES OF INTERPERSONAL INTERACTION! [Recap]

That sounds like a really interesting thing to do concurrently with Harry’s dinner ‘thing’ with his dad, though we may need to rearrange who’s going along with him for that. (I have a thought about that, actually.)

If it’s Concord… that sounds like a horrible idea. :stuck_out_tongue:

They have a lot of questions about why Farlander was looking for a Keynome at your school…

“Your mother and I are interested. What have you kids been up to lately?”

“Oh, you know, nothing special.”

Meanwhile, in a parallel universe…

Leo has one more observation, depending on how much he heard people say. If we have Mercury’s story of his initial transition, we know he saw the Dragonfly nearby. Coincidence? Or did whoever’s on board (assumed to be Byron Quill & company for now) have a way of detecting dimensional transitions on their side?

If the latter, AND if Alycia has been actively trying to open a barrier, AND if there’s any correspondence between here & there when one passes through, we might be able to track her from the Sepiaverse side. It also makes sense that anyone in the Dragonfly would be trying to find ways home from their side, if that were possible at all and if they don’t have the equipment to do it themselves.

Minor correction to a previous answer: the damage to the Sepiaverse city, as described by GG and Harry is definitely older than 2 years, but… less than 10? Harry would estimate it was more than 20 years of decay, while GG would guess a lot less. They’d both agree it appeared to be a mix of destruction on a massive scale (not one big bomb, for example, but hundreds or thousands of smaller but immensely damaging effects), more inimical weather conditions, and the sort of abandonment and regrowth as seen in Pripjat.

(That Pripjat shot isn’t particularly accurate to our situation, since in our situation the buildings were badly damaged, not just abandoned; in the words of my granddad, “the easiest way to bring down an old barn is chop a hole in the roof and wait a few years.”)

(I crossposted with Bill’s last thing, so don’t read that as a reply to his questions/theories.)

My theories are all crazy anyway.

Actually, no, that all made a lot of sense, at least. I’m not sure about tracking Alycia down that way, but running into her on the Other Side wouldn’t be a massive surprise.

(Actually, I can just image Alycia finally generating the dimensional portal, turbines screaming, jacobs ladders laddering, kirbys krackling … the portal opens … there’s a surprised Jason Quill already standing there in sepia. “Uh … hi!”

“Well, fuck.”

It would be immensely gratifying to be ahead of her for once.

I’m seriously considering having Silver Streak text back and postpone the thing with Harry til tomorrow, because of reasons (both IC and OOC) - too much stuff to cram into one night - people need to process.

people need to process

Since when has that ever stopped us?

(I am fine with pushing that off.)

If it’s in the cards, I’d actually love to see everyone along for whatever Streak has in mind - especially if it’s giving us The Lecture, having us deal with disapproving HHL adults, or whatever. If that’s possible by pushing it out a day in-game, I’m okay with that.

Yeah I was thinking of that yesterday - might be much better/more fun/horrible to do it all together. So we’ll push that out a day. Lets everyone get in more trouble before then.
