This plot actually was a lot of fun for me to write. I enjoy seeing Alycia and Jason doing a sort of “Man from UNCLE” secret-agent deal, quipping their way through outlandish situations while always keeping their cool. In-universe, I wonder if Maury and Nono would team up to write a pitch for “The New Adventures of Jason Quill”, a revival of the cartoon, where cartoon!Jason is teamed up with “Alex Chance” (who he learns is a girl, just as capable as him), meets his long-lost sister Medea, and generally engages in fictional versions of his life story (aka the stuff we’ve seen in game and in the comics) - but in that affectionate respectful way only dedicated fanfic writers can spin something. And I wonder if Jason - and Alex, er Alycia - would go along with it. ---

Alycia would be publicly appalled to be co-opted into Western television culture, but probably secretly pleased at the treatment. And would insist on the royalties being donated to some worthy (in her eyes) charity. Jason would be initially very resistant, based on his past experience, but would reluctantly come around. Medea would only insist on No. Love. Interests. ---

By the power of necro ~~mancy~~ posting! So we’re well over seven years past when these were first made and, at the risk of sounding wistful, it’s nice to have all this (gestures to the forums as a whole) to go back through and read whenever the thought takes me. I love falling down the rabbit hole of re-reading comics or stories like these and running into something I’d forgotten all about and getting to enjoy it all over again. This thread in particular tends to be my jumping off point strictly because of all its branching into other threads into other Menagerie-related things (and because I have it as one of my bookmarks, so I will occasionally see it as I’m typing in a different URL and get distracted with a quick perusal) which is why I decided for it to be the site of this particular post (and not at all as a way to remind Dave about this the next time he checks the forums 😁). Thanks for making these forums, @garrett and helping fill them with things that still create joy years later. 🙂 ---
