A Jaunt with the Traveler

[My notes from the draft game we did with Bill. I have not edited or spell-checked]

D = Dave
B = Bill
K = Margie
M = Mike

D - Worst excesses – children - play! but if in danger or hurt, rage!
B - Unanswered Question - where do you come from? Never answered. Alien, look like us. Ashamed? Don’t
K - Blue Box left you … want to be back, consistancy, normalcy.
M - Mockery … “you think too small, can’t see the big picture” like they didl.
D - Only companion. Excited being their focus. Questions. Requests. Frighteing, the same way.
B - Moment kept you in the dark … in danger from something couldn’t process, I’ll just take care of it … and happens more often than want.
K - Impressed the Traveler. Knew how to knit!
M - Older than my society, abut still disappointed in them about: fascinating, but never make real, lasting connections with folk other than us.
D - Unforgettable experience - standing on Moon, big blue marble above.
B - Rel;ationship? Wluild like more of a big brother, care, concerning. Less friends, more support.
K - Secret fear the Traveler will learn about me. That I knew about him before we met. Important not because spoilers, and might change who they are.
M - Pull out of a moment of darkness. After a grim gritty adventure, hard to cope with, but T had a warming smile that assured would be okay, on to the next adventure.
D - Megamachine … have you tried turning off and on?
B - Offhand remark about future shaking assumptions about humanity. Corporate terraforming while there were people still there. Just didn’t think it wouild happen in the future.
K - Anachronistic appearance or behavior marks you from elsewhen. Still wear glasses. Don’t want someone messing with my eyes. Try to blend in? Sure.
M - Once rescued T from certain doom. How? T, playfully, wandered into danger, and would have been destroyed by the vaporization ray. Pushed them out of the way. But died themselves.
D - Aided T’s enemies willingkly, but not knowingly. To avert a future castrophe (was told), but also affected T’s pasdt.
B - Friendly faces and seemingly safe places - on edge. A clear facsimle of the fondly remembered place.
K - Leaving behind friends, loved ones, responsbilities. Promise you’ll be brought back to when you left from. But … you are changed. Older. Old eyes. And people can see that, and family can feel you are different.
M - Other Companion a mistake? Margie’s companion, over glasses … but proved themselves, and have felt bad about it seince.
D - Experience never expected. Parent of four kids in an apocalpyse. Terror, love, etc. And then back to normal. No. Never again. Too – wrenching.
B - Somethign amazing in you? Look at self as Companion in confusion. Just doing the best, but somehow it’s there.
K - Treats youy like a marvel or enigma to study – why? Do not fit the box that he built around his interp of my species. Even with his optimism, surprised at my optimism. Sad at his generalization.
M - Promise to see a sight or visit a place. Ever get there? Birth of a star in space. Sure, sooner or later … but time is slipping away … so will not see it in time.
D - How Traveler most alien? Laughter – laugh at things not quite funny, pause before laughing sometimes.
B - Villain and awful punishment, beyond expectation. Will never wish a punishment on someone again.
K - Traveler acknowledged your suffering, but did nothing. They have no family, and Companions are more of a support network, so they don’t understand ties that bind even to fam members that are annoying or offputting. Unhappy when uncle killed with the rest of the plotters, but didn’t have any way to provide acknowledge support needed. Spent time with other Companions, avoiding the T for a while.
M - How most human? Capriciousness. Their own ideas of things and wants, though sometimes not understandable.
D - Favorite? Why? Why worry? Oldes of the Companions in this batch, and
B - When made feel insignificant? Just conjured money from an ATM, and wow how that makes

The Moment!
D - They get so rageful! Will maybe act more angrily than they want. Will say something, but in the end will push buttons if needed.
B - T has a bit of a problem with commitment – intervene for that reason, pushing back.
K - Agree with Bill, but … caught up in the frenzy of the moment and don’t pause and just do whatever is needful.
M - Memory returns to the traveler’s mind. Who’s going to die from your caprice this time?
