Notes:
- This was a bitch to write, if only because there’s so much similarity between the two conversants.
- Actually, the biggest problem I encountered was the nocturnal timeframe vs. the cartoon image of daylight that they are working in to begin with.
- On the other hand, it’s easy to get too distracted with detail. A lengthy segment about their traveling to the Grove, to match up with the illustration of their talk from Mike, turned out to be a creative dead end.
- It felt a bit more melodramatic than usual … but is truly, in some ways, a more intense experience than we’ve seen Alycia in, both because it’s such a crucial moment under discussion and because of who, she’s talking with.
- For the record, she disabled Rusty in her way to kill Byron. Jason didn’t ask her about that part of the tale.
