Hey guys, a heads up before Monday:

Discord upgraded to its new version today (change log here). In addition to making sure everyone’s updated before the game, as a head’s up this version includes a new voice codec (Opus 1.2). This might mean some quality issues or it might mean things run smoother. I’m not seeing issues with it yet, but I’ve also not been in a voice chat with six other people for 2+ hours either.

I briefly skimmed the Xiph.org release notes for Opus. We should set our encoding bit rate back up for this, then ratchet back down as needed.
