Cut Scene!
A dark room.
The woman Saraid saw … the Lamenter.
Lighting a few candles. Puts on a domino mask.
Mirror … enchanted, said “Master Rot.”
Shimmering … dark visage appears. “Ah. Lady Widow.”
Sigh. "Not my name.
“A slip of the tongue. Lady Watcher.” Can this wait?
“Fulfilling oaths and duties: still looking for one of the squirrelkin?”
Perks up.
“What would it be worth?”
“All of my secrets would be open to you.”
“Excellent. See to it soon.”
She summons up a diamond-shaped thing with colored orbs around it.
Splitting the (Trimaldi) party!
Tiny off to get help.
Shiny manning the clank.
Whiny sneaking in.
Tiny makes it to Hector’s house.
Mizzle going through Hector’s papers, summarizing the correspondence. Busioness stuff.
Invitation to the Etani Gala – one of the Nine Families. Wild international masks – novelty and possible trading leverage.
Saraid is tidying. Avoidance behavior.
Finding nothing untoward. Father was a rare tome collector.
(Last time, Saraid didn’t get the Opportunity > Bond > Bond to Lady Watcher. Nature: Mistrust)
Mizzle - Prisma has been lounging about. “Why does someone need all these papers to remember with?” … → Prisma wants to learn to read.
Tiny … get in via the cat door to the kitchen. Poke head through – startled shout. Hector: making himself some tea.
Chattering with Hector.
Go and find friends in the sitting room.
Saraid.
Saraid tries to costume up.
She is worried about the scary lady.
Back at the Ship …
Whiny … can’t figure out what crate he wants. But … can try!
Study … figure out the right crate! And the medical supplies. Very big.

Push it into a corner to keep it hidden.
Then sneak back off …
Get back to Shiny.
Everyone to the Docks
Whiny - crew being detailed, asked about trying to abscond with Lady Ambra.
Also, where the box is.
Ship is still locked down.
Do we need to find Lady Ambra? Is she in danger? From what party? Or parties?
- Nobody likes the Elonians.
- Their only authority is fear.
- We are big damn heroes.
The Elonians were the human army of the Archmagus, before the fall. The clanks took their role as front-line soldiers.
Incite a riot?
Kidnap one of the Elonians?
Pretend to be Lady Ambra?
Sara gets the poop about how the crowd resents them.
She tries to get the Harbor Master as an unexpected ally in her pocket.
Mizzle - forges a letter saying that Ambra traveled west – a travel itinerary. “Letter for the captain.” (Asks for a tip.)
Elonian captain shows up – “A lead! Very convenient, though. But need to follow up on it.” Groups up troops.
What happened here, who took Lady Ambra outside the city.
Also search for the little boy who brought the letter.
Leaves just the Captain and his two squad mates.
March up with Saraiod in front, the clank as a “dumb” robot.
Guard captain - “Lady Ambra - we are sent to rescue you! I must return you to Ft Vigilence … for your own good!”
“How are you going to protect me from the watchers in town!”
“We can board the ship and head right back.”
“What about my sister?”
Oh. Unconvincing.

- Mizzle - study Jax. Bond with Saraid to get more info. Light damage
- Jolly - Smoke Grenade - (Def bonus to party)
- TBs - Shoot Jax (double damage - Earth) and Rodgers (normal damage)
- Jax - Attacks Mizzle … which benefits Rodgers.
- Saraid - Ice Breath! Miss Jolly, Hit Rodgers, Miss Jax. … no, hit all 3. Jax and Rodgers in Crisis!
- Rodgers - Hindering Saraid - caltrops
Round 2
- Jax - Shouts to Rodgers - Inspiring Rhetoric.
- TBs - Another shot at Jax and Rodgers, knock both of them way down.
- Jolly - Grenade! Gas Grenade!
- Saraid - Ice Breath again! Hit all three … Rodgers down, Jax to 1 HP, Jolly hurt more.
- Jax - Hinder Saraid … nope!
- Mizzle - Weapon … defeat Jax, who escapes! … with his men! Still thinks Saraid Lady Ambra.
After the Battle
They leave some gear. Spare Ammo (1/scene reroll 1 TH die) for the TBs!
Captain shows appreciation. A Soothing Gem (immune to dazed). (Mizzle will carry.)
Elonians think they should be in charge now that the AM is gone.
A couple of places – Fort Vigilant (in the Elonian pass) and Fort Valiant (to the south of Parmis, near the Desert).
So … is Ambra still where we detected her? Or was she in transit, and has moved on X days from there.
Etani’s ship plies their port.
TBs go get the box of Hector’s Medical Supplies.
Wrap Up
We get back to Hector’s. Thankful for getting his medical stuff. Stay in the guest room. We rest and recover.
