Newman One-Offs

Leo and his friends aren’t actually based on FMA, but there’s enough similarities to fuel a four-panel gag comic.

Summer doesn’t have a problem attracting boys. She’s just trying to keep them alive.

Summer is surrounded by multiple people who would eviscerate first, ask questions after, anyone who hurt her.

I’m picturing Alycia and Otto teaming up and getting really hardcore about this.

Then again, they might be overreacting in some cases…

“Alycia, put the knives away. You don’t need to do this.”

“Honor demands that I respond. Plus, you can’t let scumbags like this run free in society. Someone has to put them down like the rabid dogs they are.”

“He just said he wished the dress showed a little more leg.”

Summer to visit a very close friend at home.

A work whose sole purpose for existence is to make the reader go “Awwww! That’s so sweet!” at regular intervals and/or at the end.

ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED!

“I think this look would weird out Alycia just as much.”

Weirdly enough, I would expect Alycia would get ticked off at Otto trying to “pass” (even though that’s clearly not what he’s doing). And not out of any sense of deception, but because he should be proud of what he is. (Alycia can be a bit of an ideologue at times.)

Yep, Otto isn’t going to the dark side, but I think he is experimenting, for several reasons: Mary, solidarity with Summer (trying out a look you wouldn’t ordinarily try), and reconnecting with mundane human scale in a controlled fashion. But he’s who he is, and he likes that.

Maury is still looking for a podcasting partner, by the way.

Well there’s only one way I can lighten the mood of a comment like that: a dirty joke that involves Jason.

Hasbro would sue the shit out of them if they called it “Adventures of the Ponies”, though.

I don’t have these two talk onscreen as much as they ought.

She also gains fandom powers of any show she binge watches.

The whole “Summer visits a college party and messes with everyone’s program” thing is a story I thought would be fun, but never put together coherently.
