Seirus Armor Thread

Since @fragolakat brought up not knowing what to do with their armor, I figured I would go over some options ahead of them.

Today, Seirus’ armor relevant stats without any gear currently look like this (assuming level 5):

Seirus (No Armor)

HP: 38 / RB: 9
Armor HP: 3 (from Bonding Rune artifact)
Dodge: 10
Ward: 10
Soak: 2d6
Inventory Points: -2 (from Herbs & Spices Rest Item)

Seirus’ current armor is the Turtle Leather Breastplate, which modifies those stats in the current way:

Turtle Leather Breastplate
Turtle leather treated and hardened in the traditional Atlantean manner, making it hard as metal, while still flexible. It has been repaired using land dweller material.
Medium Outfit ◯ Reinforced
Defense Bonus: +4 , Armor HP: 9, Soak Bonus: +1 , Inventory Points: 5
Reinforced: +4 bonus Armor HP (or +5 for Heavy Outfits).

Seirus (Turtle Leather Breastplate)

HP: 38 / RB: 9
Armor HP: 12
Dodge: 14
Ward: 14
Soak: 2d6 + 1
Inventory Points: 3

Additionally, the group has access to the Mist Diver Suit from the Mist Miners’ base. It has the following stats:

Mist Diver Suit
A heavy suit made to protect its wearer against the warping nature of the Mists. While not 100% effective, it still increases its wearer’s toughness.
Heavy Outfit ◯ Life Support Systems
Defense Bonus: +2 , Armor HP: 20, Soak Bonus: +1 , Inventory Points: 4
Heavy: Disadvantage on Move & Sneak tests.
Life Support Systems: Increase maximum Recovery and RB by +1.

Seirus (Mist Diver Suit)

HP: 38 / RB: 10
Armor HP: 23
Dodge: 12
Ward: 12
Soak: 2d6 + 1
Inventory Points: 2

However, Seirus is also getting an Artifact slot upgrade this level, which can be used to upgrade their Bonding Rune, which would give any armor they wear an additional Mod slot. The mod could be stolen from either suit and added to the other, giving them the following stats:

Seirus (Turtle Leather Breastplate w/ Life Support Mod)

HP: 38 / RB: 10
Armor HP: 12
Dodge: 14
Ward: 14
Soak: 2d6 + 1
Inventory Points: 3

Seirus (Mist Diver Suit /w Reinforced Mod)

HP: 38 / RB: 10
Armor HP: 28
Dodge: 12
Ward: 12
Soak: 2d6 + 1
Inventory Points: 2

Alternatively, Seirus could chose to leave the mod slot open, instead filling it with another mod such as Cargo, which would off-set their 2 IP spend for their Herbs & Spices, Flexible, which would offset the Move penalty for Heavy armor, or Bodyguard, which would increase their Physical and Toxic Soak. All these mods can be found on pg. 186 (Life Support mod is from Webs & Wires). Or their Artifact slot could be used on a different Artifact.

Oh right, another option I wanted to cover. Given that we didn’t have all the details when it come to starting the game, I wanted to show James the difference between Serius’ Turtle Leather Breastplate and how it might have looked if he’d gone with Heavy Armor instead:

Remade Turtle Leather Breastplate
Turtle leather treated and hardened in the traditional Atlantean manner. Sadly, most of the flexibility has been lost as more and more of it has been replaced with land dweller materials.
Heavy Outfit ◯ Reinforced
Defense Bonus: +4 , Armor HP: 12, Soak Bonus: +1 , Inventory Points: 4
Heavy: Disadvantage on Move & Sneak tests.
Reinforced: +4 bonus Armor HP (or +5 for Heavy Outfits).

Seirus (Remade Turtle Leather Breastplate)

HP: 38 / RB: 9
Armor HP: 15
Dodge: 14
Ward: 14
Soak: 2d6 + 1
Inventory Points: 2

Seirus (Remade Turtle Leather Breastplate w/ Life Support Mod)

HP: 38 / RB: 10
Armor HP: 15
Dodge: 14
Ward: 14
Soak: 2d6 + 1
Inventory Points: 2
