None of these are going to be exact. The reality is somewhere in the middle.

Link Suit: segmented, durable plates with numerous attachment points for bolting other stuff on. Turreted grappling hook launchers on the shoulders, forearms, and hips.

Pneuma: she doesn’t have armor, she is armor - she can flip between a human-passing exterior (which Link devised at great expense) and an anonymous armored form.

The two can combine into a bulkier but faster state, taking advantage of the android’s extra muscles to speed up the combination: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/422001427575360476/

Otto: a fancy sports car body developed by Leo and refined over the years. Can become a powerful robot on his own, or combine with Link and/or Pneuma, providing considerable strength and durability.

The Future: Leo can develop in a lot of different directions. But some things will remain constant. For example, if he ever does strap on weapons, it’ll likely be some kind of melee weapon - powerful but controllable, not a thing that can accidentally fire into crowds or cause collateral damage.

Visually, all of Leo’s designs share some qualities. They’re white in their combat-ready forms - the Good Guy color in Leo’s mind. They’re simple, practical, pragmatic - not a lot of fancy curves or decorations. They reflect his limited budget and home-workshop resources. They’re extremely modular, with parts held together by micro-attachment points, bio-mimetic skeletons, magnetism, or the like. You could break down his creations into their component pieces fast, with no individual piece being larger than a coconut, probably.

Link’s creations aren’t made of some miracle super-alloy, transdimensional crystal, or Unobtainium from space. They’re made from carbon - lightweight, but with myriad different forms. Self-healing buckytubes, graphene sheets to store electricity, fractal structures to absorb impact… Life on Earth is based on carbon. Its power comes not from its own qualities and strengths, but from its bonds with others.

Link isn’t a Bull because of his powers, his inventions, or his robot friends. It comes from him, from his secret heart that sees a world hurting and longing, and rejects that hurt with all its might. His creations are manifestations of that drive. Make friends, fight to protect people, struggle until the world can’t help but change.

That’s what things look like outside. If you want to hear what the inside of his head sounds like, try this.

So I picked out a couple, just so I have some concrete images in my head. I like this one you linked, in basic concept, though I think the otto-combo would be quite a big bigger than that final armor shown. For me this is link, link in a fight, link + pneuma… and that last thing isn’t quite big enough, but headed the right direction?

I love the notes on ‘why white armor’ and ‘why no weapons’ – good stuff.

At some point soon you should pick up Otto as a Kirby-craft.

I like the idea of the myriad anchor points on the armor. The modular nature of it all. Good, good stuff.

Definitely. I like the layers to his personality the list illustrates.

I have a really good idea how this will look in play. I think we’re in good shape.
