Coming back to this with some fresh inspiration. This time, our subject is @HeroesAreMagic, aka My Little Power Ranger. She’s probably the most socially savvy of the Ponies, certainly has the most followers, and is probably first to pick up on trends. As I originally wrote her, she was a little older (21-23), also making her the big sister of the group we’ve so far established. Either has a paying job or is doing well enough via YouTube monetization/Patreon. She seems to get a ridiculous amount of stuff done, but is mostly just good at organizing and triaging life.

Rather than a percentage breakdown by platform, here’s her areas of social media interest!

  • Fandoms: My Little Pony, tokusatsu/sentai/Power Rangers (of course), and assorted “girl superhero team” stuff like Sailor Moon or WITCH. Spends too much time patiently explaining to these slow people that yes, American Power Rangers did cop from Super Sentai, yes, the Power Rangers SPD battlizer was borrowed in turn by the Japanese Dekaranger movie, different studios can cooperate, there’s no problem here people. Recommends you watch Sailor Moon Crystal, not enthralled with Pretty Guardian.
  • Vlogging: Mostly talks about Modern Generation super-team activities, but feels they are too corporate/sold-out. Not impressed by Stingray or Kid Kelvin, but secretly thinks both are pretty hot. Would also not say no to a one-on-one interview with Oya, maybe over coffee. Actually hopes the Menagerie is not a Quill Foundation team, is constantly afraid she’ll be proven wrong. Does Let’s Plays of cheap casual indie games from Steam, with comedic voiceover from any friends in her apartment at the time.
  • Other Sharing: Instagram for memes and city-travel photos. Posts pictures from “urban spelunking” parties that visit out-of-the-way sites around the city, such as sites of historic super-battles, UFO crashes, and the like. Has actually found a few interesting (dangerous) things, but has wits enough to back off and call in experts. Impulsively Snapchats stuff. Keeps wanting to start a professional podcast, and is this close, just needs a committed partner.

A10’s Twitter handle is @BRRRRT, aka “WAR HOG”. Her social media engagement looks like this:

I’m going to sneak in this: about 5 to 10% of her social media feed is related to protests and activism related to #dapl, Standing Rock, and other related news. As mentioned, her uncle is Tatanka, from the League. Her family tree is a melange of South and North American POC, plus a new age hippie dad (nothing else explains “Andromeda Fairchild.”)

Her other uncle (mom’s side of the family), was Chan del Rio - more formally Chankoowashtay (“Good Road”) del Rio - the original Thunderbolt. Andy inherited the powers when he died, and SORT of stayed with the Thunderbolt name without becoming “Thunderbolt II” by going with A-10.

The fact that the A-10 is technically the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is not lost on her, and maybe it’s possible she noticed that and has been dreaming of being the next Thunderbolt since she was a little kid and maybe totally still harbors a weird kind of survivors gift for wishing for that so hard and then having her uncle die before she got exactly what she wanted.
